Awake all night watching science fiction movies isn't really what you'd expect from the Payday kids - but the parents are out of town, Alice is asleep, and its summer break - yeeehaww! They watched a few alien thrillers, a couple films about angry mutant bugs and even a show about a magical telephone, but the one that got them really thinking was a movie about a man taking out cheap personal loans.

Crazy ideas of a cheap personal loan

Greg Payday was the first to speak: I could do that. I could make a cheap personal loan!

Then it was Marsha's turn: Yeah right Greg. its impossible! There is no way you could ever make a personal loan cheap.

Jan was nervous: Come on guys, you're starting to scare me with all this cheap personal loan talk. It was just a movie after all.

Peter: Yes, a movie that will drink your blood!

Bobby and Cindy: Ahhhh!

And it was settled. Greg would take out a regular old unsecured personal loan, and so would Jan. But Greg bet the entire amount of his instant personal loan that his would be the cheaper of the two.

Late night hijinks, morning regret

So they each went into their separate rooms and applied for the best personal loan they could find - the one paying the least amount for their loan would be the winner!

Marsha - believing that lenders all charge a uniform price - applied for the first loans he came across, a $500 advance at $30 per $100 she borrowed for a total of $620.
Greg believed in a cheap personal loan so he typed that into his search engine. Sure enough, toward the bottom of the second page, was a lender offering loans for $10 per $100. CHEAP!
He was so excited about the initially low fee that he failed to read the fine print - the loan would need to be repaid the day before payday, not the payday of payday like the other payday advances!

They each took out the same amount of money, threw a killer party with balloons and cupcakes, and when it came time to repay his cheap personal loan Greg was hit with an incredible shock - he'd already been charged a late fee!

In the end, even though he had a cheap personal loan at the outset he ended up paying even more! So it was science fiction - silly boys!
